Connecting Across the Globe via Social Media.

Well, what an exciting few weeks I have had, connecting with like-minded people in the USA,Spain, and here in the UK.

From  the US, Smashwords are promoting Read an e-Book Week.

We have a choice of exciting travel books with real adventures
and more serious stuff in a user-friendly workbook style to help you to succeed in life.

A few weeks ago, I was invited by Sonia Marsh @GutsyLiving  to submit an article for her Gutsy Living Blog , with a potential to be included in her 2nd Anthology of personal stories. Sonia lives in California which really is 'across the miles'. She noticed that we shared a name and there we are, it all began to happen. My article 'Pushing back the Boundaries' is planned to be on the site on March 10th. I will need your votes to win the “My Gutsy Story®” for March.

Secondly, I had more chat and connection with Ali Meehan, Imagineer of Costa Women fame. A networking site for people from all over who have settles in Spain. (@costawomen on Twitter.) Ali is heavily involved in International Women's Day in Andalucia with various events planned near Malaga. Hearing about the fund-raising activities and the IWD Fayre, I sent off a parcel of books for the event and hope there is a good contribution for their charity. Thankfully, they only took a few days to cross the globe to Malaga.
Ali had also sent an interesting video link where she connected via Google+ HangoutsonAir (HOA). Amazing how things are changing in social media.

Chrisoula Sirigou of @ExploramEU connected again - hello Chrisoula! - with details of the two events she is promoting on her lunchtime radio show on the community radio RedShiftRadio.  Thursdays 11am-1pm. The first is International Women's Day on her March 6th show and World Book Day on  her March 13th show.

This brings me to World Book Night in April which is on April 23rd. More on that later bit I will be there in Waterstones Wrexham ready to sign your copy of my books. This is a Best of Wrexham event, organised by Susan Miller of All Words Matter (@allwordsmatter on Twitter.) Ged, the Waterstones, Wrexham manager is very supportive.

Ged, is showcasing all my titles instore for a while which is very exciting. Why don't you pop in and have a look. Waterstones is on the corner of Regent Street and Hill Street -opp. Specsavers and near to the Island Green car park and bus station. Visit the store on Facebook

That's all for now.
