Chasing Rainbows still riding high - and thoughts on e-books v. print

Amazon rankings still good for Chasing Rainbows and amazing to be in top 100  in the UK Kindle store for Nonfiction - Biographies. Kindles really must be catching on in the UK since their launch at the end of last year.

Thank you to all my readers.

The figures above suggest that print is still as popular as the newer  e-book formats. Great! Something for everyone whatever takes your fancy. I don’t think that e-books will replace print and affect brick and mortar book stores. It is more likely that on-line stores are affecting the traditional brick and mortar stores due to the ease of browsing such a huge library with a one-stop-shop and the discounts they can offer as they cut overheads.

A photo on Facebook today showed a Borders store with an ‘Everything must go’ poster. Really sad as browsing is half the fun but if a book is cheaper on-line then that is where people will go.

Time will tell.
